bifrost at SecurityFest
Last week bifrost attended SecurityFest in Gothenburg! It was two days filled with interesting talks, hallway meetups, fun CTFs, lock-picking, and even some soldering.
🎤 Conference highlights included:
John Wilander’s "Hacker Culture Timeline" – Great intro to the vast history of Hackers in pop culture. Some good inspiration for media to consume this summer!
AI Agents using Local Language Models by Thomas Olofsson - Impressive demo of Local models running penntests for(loops) you. Still mindblown of the capabilities of running local models on your own devices.
Live Hack by Emil Trägårdh - Super-impressive and easy to follow live-hack of how to find 0-day vulnerability, step-by-step verifying how to build an exploit and testing it. Equally impressive as scary!
SonicWall device hack by Alain Mowat - Great talk about how to uncover vulnerabilities in VPN devices, in this case SonicWall Secure Mobile Access. Showcasing how different incentives can provide weaker products, even though the product is a security device.
All the talks are available on YouTube - check the comment sections for timestamps to jump straight to each session: SecurityFest
Huge thanks to the organizers and all the brilliant speakers! We left Gothenburg with sharpened skills, broader perspectives, and a strong reminder of how fast the field is evolving 🚀
