bifrost security
We are introducing a fully sovereign, managed bifrost. You get the same product and the same ease of use as our existing managed service, with one difference that a growing number of our customers have been asking for: all data is processed on a Swedish-owned cloud, outside US jurisdiction.
Why customers asked for this
Plenty of teams want a managed service. They do not want to run and maintain the infrastructure themselves, and they value the convenience of letting us operate it for them. What they could not always get was that convenience without placing their data under US jurisdiction.
It is a real tension. We have written before about digital sovereignty and Europe’s dependence on US hyperscalers. The question is rarely only about where the servers physically sit. It is about who has legal reach over the data, and whether a managed offering forces you to choose between convenience and control. For a security product that observes how your workloads behave, that question matters even more.
What we built
Over the last six months we have had numerous customer discussions with organisations that want a managed service, but with their data processed outside of US jurisdiction. We have worked together with the ecosystem here in Sweden to enable this, and we are proud to offer a fully sovereign option with the same ease of use our customers expect. We will start onboarding the first users during the summer and scale further in the fall.
What “sovereign” means here
It is the same managed bifrost, operated by us, with the same onboarding and the same product experience. The difference is where the data lives and who can reach it.
- Processed outside US jurisdiction. All data is processed and stored on a Swedish-owned and controlled cloud, not an EU region of a global hyperscaler.
- The same ease of use. A managed service we run for you. No infrastructure to maintain, no trade-off between sovereignty and convenience.
- GDPR and NIS2 ready. Built on data minimisation, with the same kernel-level enforcement and privacy posture as the rest of the platform.
This sits alongside our existing deployment options, from European hosting on a global hyperscaler to a private cloud in your own infrastructure. Sovereignty becomes one more axis you choose on, rather than something you give up to get a managed service.
Get on the list
We are onboarding the first users this summer and scaling further in the fall. If a fully sovereign, managed bifrost fits how your organisation thinks about data and jurisdiction, talk to us about your residency requirements and we will get you on the list.
